Yesterday I lost a person who had been special in my life. I rarely got to see her, but she made a huge impact in the small moments we spent together. One time, in a spontaneous and unexpected fashion, we stayed up until three in the morning, getting to know each other after many years of not seeing each other. The greatest gift she gave me was insight into my family and insight into myself.
I still can’t quite believe she has passed on.
RIP, good person, and thank you for your gifts. That cliche is true — we may never know the impact we have upon another — one small thing, one small action, one conversation.
